My branch was merged btw. So now there are two tabs "Timeline" and "Mentions".
Friends still needs support for creating customs Tabs/Columns. Support for this has landed recently in the Toolkit: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/+bug/1124071 Currently, I don't have time for this as I personally don't need this feature but it should be very straightforward.
