Public bug reported:
/sbin/lrm-manager is issuing
mkdir: cannot create directory /lib/modules/<KVER>/restricted/volatile:
read-only filesystem
during the boot process ("Preparing restricted drivers" gets a "fail").
This may be related to bug 131961 in busybox - it started happening at
the same time as the segfaults on boot.
