Rust hasn't made it into the official repositories yet. There are a few
issues that still need to be resolved before it can be packaged
officially on most Linux distributions. There are however a PPA for rust
here: https://launchpad.net/~hansjorg/+archive/rust. Contact the
maintainer there about this request and they'll help you. For some more
info on why Rust cannot be easily packaged, see
