Public bug reported: Skype needs to have the PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC environment variable set to work correctly on newer ubuntus. This is already done by the skype package by modifying the skype.desktop file: ... Exec=env PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 skype %U ...
Unfortunately this does not help users starting skype from the commandline. It would be better if you could find a solution that also works for commandline users (or users of desktop environments that do not look at the .desktop files). ** Affects: skype (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1257820 Title: skype PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC workaround not working for the commandline To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skype/+bug/1257820/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
