Hi Brian,
I used UNetBootin on a USB disk that was previously used to carry presentations from a summit so probably formatted for Windows. I managed to install later on with another try. I do get error messqges at boot though, but this could be hardware and I do send error logs to help you find out the problem. Thanks for your time and effort!
