Wow, I had no idea this was possible with Ubuntu images... Anyway, using the Trusty live cd, I wasn't able to connect my bluetooth mouse at all, and I actually had to restart lightdm to get a desktop. But as per my previous comment, it seems pretty clear what the fix to this bug is.
