Chris reported on IRC that removing the trailing slash from the Pattern
entry fixes this (as expected: the trailing slash means "path resolution
is not complete if this is a symlink to a directory"). It might still
make sense to be friendly and strip the trailing slash, since it can
never have a useful effect here.
