Public bug reported: Binary package hint: debian-installer
The Installation Guide for 7.04 Feisty describes how to configure encrypted disk volumes during the text-mode installation <https://help.ubuntu.com/7.04/installation-guide/i386/module- details.html#partman-crypto>. However, I was unable to find any encryption-related settings in the text-mode installer, and specifically there was no "physical volume for encryption" option in the "Use as:" list in the partitioning tool. I was running the installer from the i386 install/live DVD. Does Ubuntu 7.04 support configuring encrypted partitions during the installation? I'm reporting this as a bug since it could a bug in the debian-installer or the documentation, or it might be a usability problem, so the user interface and the documentation could be improved. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Configuring encrypted volumes in 7.04 debian-installer? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/132832 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
