I tried this with Ubuntu 10.04 desktop i386, Fedora 19 Desktop AMD64, Windows Vista 32 bit, and Windows Vista 64 bit. ALL FAILED to boot when the wireless card was inserted. Windows Vista 64 bit also gave me a stop screen telling me there is an unresolvable hardware issue.
I'm pretty sure this indicates that this is not an error with Ubuntu. Christopher, I'll let you close this. Of course, if there is anything else you want me to do, let me know.
