This is solved now, as per the following changelog:
bbswitch (0.7-2ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=low
* debian/control, debian/rules:
- Remove support for module-assistant so as to comply
with the requirements of the MIR.
* debian/patches/01_add-support-for-Linux-3.13.patch:
- Add support for Linux 3.13. This is also backward
compatible.
And here's the output of "check-mir":

All dependencies are supported in main or restricted.
