Public bug reported:
I am using kubuntu amd64 and when I press on the shutdown or restart
buttons, it just goes tio a screen that says "system halted" and does
nothing else leaving me to shut it down manually (hopefully this hasn't
caused any data corruption). Tjhe onyl thing which seems to work is sudo
reboot -f in the command line.
