Resume is broken again on HP laptops with Gutsy... I've tested with
2.6.22-8 and 2.6.22-9
This is an HP Compaq nc6220. It suspends ok - the machine goes down,
power LED flashes as expected however resume doesn't work. Machine
powers back on, however the screen never lights up. Disk activity LED
comes on solid and stays on for a minute or two - the computer is hung
good at that point. Keyboard is non responsive (caps lock not
recognized, ctrl-alt-f1/f7 does nothing, etc).
This laptop had issues with Feisty at first, but it was fixed around
2.6.20-14. Looks like whatever was fixed there came back in 2.6.22.
Replacing the Gutsy kernel with 2.6.20-15 from Feisty makes
suspend/resume 'kind of' work - the laptop will resume again 90% of the
time but sound is always disabled.
