Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 13.10

TexLive:
Instalado: 2013.20130722-1
  Candidato: 2013.20130722-1
  Tabela de Versão:
 *** 2013.20130722-1 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ saucy/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

The file was OK before an Ubuntu upgrade I have done.

Now when I compile the tex file I don't get the pdf file as expected.
Instead I get the error: "! Package babel Error: You haven't specified a
language option."

But I have : \usepackage[portuguese]{babel} in the main file.

I have searched the web for a solution but the solution I get (to delete
the .aux file and compile again) does not work.
