Martin Albisetti, the WORKAROUND requirements have been documented in
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver#HDMI_Audio . I know the
AMD HDMI maintainers are working towards HDMI being on and usable
without problems by default, but for the foreseeable future, the
WORKAROUND would be in place.
