I guess we have a misunderstanding here. Perhaps the word "external" wasn't the right choice. We are talking about Taichi 21, (http://www.asus.com/ru/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_TAICHI_21/) the notebook with two screens, one on each side of the lid. Those can be managed in different ways with special button on the keyboard. Screens can be switched, mirrored etc. When the lid is closed notebook can be used as a tablet. Under Ubuntu, screen management button doesn't work. It need some proprietary ASUS driver I think. I have no idea, what kind of interface is being used to connect those screens. And I don't really see any point in testing releases which were out even before this notebook hit store shelves.
