Public bug reported: Display sharp and clear fonts on Linux like on Windows XP
URL: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sharpfonts/ (respectively http://support.mcsnet.ca/sharpfonts/ as current upstream) License: Unknown (propably BSD license). Notes: The current upstream is just like a workaround for hosting so it would be good if the license could be figured out so that the fonts can be packages directly. Otherwise a script in the package could simply download the fonts from the current upstream. Here are the things I could figure out about the license: - The current upstream has copied the font files from sharpfonts.co.cc. - The last know version from sharpfonts.co.cc contained the string "<!-- PC-BSD - Fonts configurations v.12012006-->". - The upstream version has got some changes towards this version (one of them was from me). - Googling "<!-- PC-BSD - Fonts configurations v.12012006-->" shows that this version and at least 1 previous version were used by pcbsd which is under the BSD license. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1261118 Title: [needs-packaging] sharpfonts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1261118/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
