During a slow print process open a terminal window and run the command
"top". Which processes are at the top of the list? Before the printing
ends, stop "top" by pressing "q" and enter the command

ps auxwww | grep <PID>

replace <PID> by the process number (column PID) of the topmost process
and post the output here. Repeat with the following processes.
Especially processes owned by "lp" (column USER) are important.
