Adam Niedling, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers an update is available for your BIOS (1.35). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and just provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Thank you for your understanding. ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Tags added: needs-upstream-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051354 Title: 1002:9552 [Aspire 4810T] Ati HD 4330 + fglrx + HP x23LED screen = wrong resolution To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1051354/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
