I'm using Saucy, and there is no longer any reasonable way to disable bluetoothd. I don't use Gnome or Unity, so I cannot use indicator- bluethooth. BUM (Boot-Up Manager) no longer works either.
There are multiple references to editing /etc/rc.local, but this is a very hackish method. I understand that bluetooth has become extremely common, but I don't have any bluetooth technology on my computer. I realize that this is not bluetooth-indicator, but it may be the root cause of the issue: meaning someone changed something in bluetoothd, Upstart, or whatever starts the daemon that affects all projects that try to control the daemon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1217278 Title: Doesn't actually disable bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-bluetooth/+bug/1217278/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
