Description: a daemon that displays passive pop-up notifications
The Desktop Notifications framework provides a standard way of doing
passive pop-up notifications on the Linux desktop. These are
designed to notify the user of something without interrupting their
work with a dialog box that they must close. Passive popups can
automatically disappear after a short period of time. as per the
 Desktop Notifications spec
 .

I hope this is of some use to you. I'm honestly not sure what caused the crash.
When I started up the computer I got the message that there was a crash now or
during a prior session. Unfortunately, I couldn't recall specifically having a
crash. However, the NVidia card that I am using is not setup properly from what
I can see as I am unable to run compizfusion as it should be able to do.
GeForce 7800 has 3D acceleration. Works pretty good for Feisty Fawn with Beryl
at any rate.
