Public bug reported: When starting nwipe, there is no information regarding pressing F10 in order to start wiping devices. The help text appears to be there in gui.c (see https://github.com/abeverley/nwipe/blob/master/src/gui.c) and are available when I use "strings `which nwipe`", but they clearly do not display. See the screenshot - the white bar at the bottom should have text.
When the console window is enlarged to 101 characters wide, it starts to show up. At 100 characters wide it still does not. The author suggested it was possibly a problem with Ubuntu's version, so I opened this ticket. See nwipe issue #1 - https://github.com/abeverley/nwipe/issues/1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a terminal that is < 101 characters wide 2. Run "sudo nwipe" I am using Ubuntu 13.10, nwipe 0.14-1 ** Affects: nwipe (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Reference screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265117/+attachment/3938051/+files/Screenshot%20from%202013-12-30%2022%3A04%3A34.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265117 Title: nwipe missing footer text on drive selection screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nwipe/+bug/1265117/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
