If libav/ffmpeg supports opus, then theoretically, audacious should support it using ffmpeg plugin. Unfortunately, all I get when attempting to play is: ffaudio: Unknown format for file://noise.opus
I'm using audacious 3.5.x on Debian with ffmpeg 2.1.1 $ mediainfo noise.opus General Complete name : noise.opus Format : OGG File size : 11.7 KiB Duration : 1s 414ms Overall bit rate : 67.6 Kbps Writing application : opusenc from opus-tools 0.1.8 Audio ID : 557313220 (0x2137ECC4) Format : Opus Duration : 1s 414ms Channel count : 1 channel Channel positions : Front: C Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Writing library : libopus 1.1 ffmpeg version 2.1.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2013 the FFmpeg developers built on Dec 27 2013 14:31:27 with gcc 4.8 (Debian 4.8.2-10) configuration: --prefix=/usr --extra-cflags='-g -O2 -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -Wformat -Werror=format-security ' --extra-ldflags='-Wl,-z,relro' --cc='ccache cc' --enable-shared --enable-libmp3lame --enable-gpl --enable-nonfree --enable-libvorbis --enable-pthreads --enable-libfaac --enable-libxvid --enable-postproc --enable-x11grab --enable-libgsm --enable-libtheora --enable-libopencore-amrnb --enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-libx264 --enable-libspeex --enable-nonfree --disable-stripping --enable-libvpx --enable-libschroedinger --disable-encoder=libschroedinger --enable-version3 --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-librtmp --enable-avfilter --enable-libfreetype --enable-libvo-aacenc --disable-decoder=amrnb --enable-libvo-amrwbenc --enable-libaacplus --libdir=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu --disable-vda --enable-libbluray --enable-libcdio --enable-gnutls --enable-frei0r --enable-openssl --enable-libass --enable-libopus --enable-fontconfig --enable-libpulse --disable-mips32r2 --disable-mipsdspr1 --disable-mipsdspr2 --enable-libvidstab --enable-libzvbi --enable-avresample --enable-libiec61883 --enable-libfdk-aac --enable-vaapi --enable-libdc1394 --disable-altivec --disable-armv5te --disable-armv6 --disable-vis --shlibdir=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu libavutil 52. 48.101 / 52. 48.101 libavcodec 55. 39.101 / 55. 39.101 libavformat 55. 19.104 / 55. 19.104 libavdevice 55. 5.100 / 55. 5.100 libavfilter 3. 90.100 / 3. 90.100 libavresample 1. 1. 0 / 1. 1. 0 libswscale 2. 5.101 / 2. 5.101 libswresample 0. 17.104 / 0. 17.104 libpostproc 52. 3.100 / 52. 3.100 DEA.L. opus Opus (Opus Interactive Audio Codec) (decoders: libopus ) (encoders: libopus ) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265386 Title: Lack of Opus Audio Support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacious-plugins/+bug/1265386/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
