Public bug reported:

Removed a few packages, then rebooted. After fully starting, my laptop
was unable to connect to the WiFi it's been connected to for 3+ weeks.
Rebooted again for good measure, still had the same problem. Restored
the packages I removed, rebooted again, and still unable to connect.
Tried a wired connection, which connected after an hour of being hooked
up.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
