Public bug reported:
ok there are some packages in synaptic that get installed with the
system that I cannot remove like gaim for instance without it also
removing the package ubuntu-desktop, now I understand this is a meta
package and is safe to remove, however it is necassary for a smooth dist
upgrade. I wonder if the dependencies are going the wrong direction with
this one? I mean is it even possible to make ubuntu-desktop depend on
other packages without it being the other way around?
