I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 on my laptop MS 1034.
Its sound device is HDA Intel:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition
Audio Controller (rev 02)
It produces constant noise. If I mute the sound output in the volume control,
then the noise disappears. If I mute the microphone, the noise disappears.
The noise is not very laud, but it irritates. So I have to mute either
sound in or sound out.
