Despite it being replicated on disparate hardware, It is strongly preferred folks with an outdated BIOS update to the latest from their vendor. We can let this not be a show stopper, but please do not remove the tag as it's used for tracking purposes. In any event, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available (not the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested.
