Adding some more details: I restarted unity in a terminal with "setsid unity&". When I go to the applications lens, the search icon spins for about 10 or 15 seconds and displays only dash plugins. In the terminal I get: "WARN 2014-01-04 15:37:07 unity.dash.view DashView.cpp:1192 Search failed ''=> O tempo limite foi alcançado" Which means a timeout in the search.
