Someone might want to apply this patch to the /etc/init.d/bootlogd file.

As the old one, it checks if the daemon exists. However, if it doesn't,
it warns the user (the old one failed silently) and points them to this
bug report, which is informative enough.

There's also a 2 sec delay there (it only occurs in the error situation)
to let the user at least notice the message. (Due to these bugs, the
logs are not available...)
