Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: udev

Hello! Not sure what to do with this. I'm running Gutsy on an intel
laptop.

I've noticed that during boot there are several "Segmentation fault"
messages appearing after the "running init-bottom" message. I think one
of the local-* scripts appears between the first and the second faults.

I've checked and I have only one init-bottom script, /usr/share
/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-bottom/udev. (There's nothing in /etc
/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-bottom.)

I've added echos before every line, and apparently the first segfault
appears on the line "mount -n -o bind ${rootmnt}/dev /dev/.static/dev".
(The echo before that line is displayed, then the segfault, then nothing
else from that file.)

Since apparently no kind of boot logging works, I'm not sure how to
investigate this further. I don't see anything not working though.

** Affects: udev (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
