Public bug reported:
The current version of OpenSC as provided with 13.10 or 12.04.3 LTS has
a bug that affects the ability to make use of 2048 bit keys on the
PKCS#11 interface as per
https://github.com/CardContact/OpenSC/commit/99af6cd8ee78776f50bc016fc230541072c60afb.
E.g. when using openssl commands such as :
engine -t dynamic -pre SO_PATH:/usr/lib/engines/engine_pkcs11.so -pre ID:pkcs11
-pre LIST_ADD:1 -pre LOAD -pre
MODULE_PATH:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opensc-pkcs11.so -pre VERBOSE
req -engine pkcs11 -new -key 1:10 -keyform engine -out cert.pem -text -x509
-days 3640
slot_1-id_XYZ
The openssl req will work fine on a 1024 bit key, but will fail on 2048 bit.
** Affects: opensc (Ubuntu)
