Thank you for your report. This looks like a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu.
Specifically, it looks like /var/run/utmp is missing on your system, along with perhaps /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid. I'm not sure how this happened, but I failed to reproduce by just installing mysql-5.5 and cqrlog on a test VM. I certainly see no evidence here that there is a bug in mysql-5.5 in Ubuntu that caused your problem. You can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community Since we use this bug tracker to track bugs in Ubuntu, rather than configuration problems, I'm marking this bug as Invalid. This helps us to focus on fixing bugs in Ubuntu. If you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug rather than a problem specific to your system, include steps to reproduce the bug on a clean system, and then change the bug status back to New. ** Changed in: mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1264856 Title: package mysql-server-5.5 5.5.34-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocesso script post-installation instalado retornou erro do status de saída 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/1264856/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
