I can support the statement of comment #23. The bug seems to be fixed in the latest daily Trusty Tahr build from: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /ubuntu-server/daily/current/trusty-server-amd64.iso
The current 13.10 download off of the Ubuntu homepage still hangs.
