Thanks for your workaround, Bib. I tested it yesterday and unfortunately it doesn't work reliably. Especially after rebooting it's not working for me unless I logout and login again. I found a much more convenient solution based on the hooks of pm-utils, so it's also independent of your screensaver settings.
