Workaround / Fix:
$ sudo sed -i 's|{stop|{ stop|g' /etc/init/cgroup-lite.conf
$ sudo dpkg --configure cgroup-lite
Setting up cgroup-lite (1.1.4) ...
cgroup-lite start/running
