Hi.

I'm using Feisty, I did add support for korean through synaptic : I have been
using SCIM for quite a long time
(japanese), I just "upgraded" this week with the support for korean.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg -l *hangul

ii imhangul 0.9.13-3.1ubuntu2 A Hangul (Korean) input
module for GTK+
ii scim-hangul 0.2.2-1ubuntu2 Hangul Input Method
Engine for SCIM

You may consider the following informations :

I can read and write japanese. I have a computer with XP (azerty keyboard) and
I had to cheat with regedit
so i could write kana with my keyboard : I had not such problems with linux.

I'm new to korean. I installed support this week on my xp computer, and when I
saw it was considering
a qwerty keyboard I ran the same trick : maybe I was wrong. I just need to have
the same mapping
between all my keyboards though I use XP or Ubuntu.

BTW I may consider an azerty mapping when writing french, english or japanese
and qwerty mapping for korean
as I don't see any link between keys and phonetic (considering korean).

Thanks for your answer.
