Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: usplash
Steps to reproduce:
1)Start with a Feisty install. Install some services.
2)Upgrade to Gutsy.
3)Restart computer.
It seems the progressbar in usplash stalls at a little over 5% when Ubuntu
starts loading. The system continues loading fine, however.
On shut down, usplash is not shown at all.
I think maybe the services I've installed may have confused usplash
(currently I'm running a testing teamspeak server, a testing ftp server,
and a testing samba server).
Also, when I switch to the first virtual terminal (ctrl+alt+f1), I've
noticed some kinit errors that may be related to the problem. Kinit
reports an error: No resume image, doing normal boot. Three lines, each
saying "Segmentation Fault", are printed after this error. The virtual
terminal works fine.
