Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Downloaded daily build of Kubuntu gutsy-desktop-i386.iso on 2007-08-18.

Have run all versions of Ubuntu from Breezy to date on this machine; I
typically install each development version late in the alpha phase.

Yesterday's upgrade from Feisty (update-manager -d) was spoiled by udevd
consuming 50-95% of CPU cycles (bug filed); I was hoping to test with a
"clean" install of gutsy to see if that problem persisted with a clean
install.

The hang on step 2 of 7 occurred repeatedly and reproducibly (here, at
least) across reboots.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
