Additional info: if I do a software update which results in me having to restart Ubuntu after the update, the bug is temporarily fixed.
What happens is that, following the restart, I can now type straight into the password field on the unity-greeter screen without first having to click on the field with the mouse. However, this 'fix' only happens once: the next time I have to log in, I can only type into the password field using my mouse click workaround. This is where I right click then left click inside the password field, whereupon input focus is made and I can now type in my password. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1263504 Title: [Toshiba Satellite P55-A5312] At login, have to click on icon to activate keyboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/1263504/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
