it would be preferable to install steam from apt-get "out of the box"

instead of downloading the .deb from steam directly.  This is a bit
close to "click to install" for my liking.  Yes, I'm aware there's a
wiki on Steam and so forth, but...there shouldn't have to be any
documentation explaining how to install Steam itself.
