In order to answer your question I got a Ubuntu 13.04 on a USB stick. The problem occurs on Ubuntu 13.04 using the default nouveau drivers. As for older versions, I don't know.
I also run Ubuntu 13.04 and the daily build on a older Dell Inspiron 1520N laptop which has also a nvidia card. Version 13.04 does not even display the screen. it just remains black and does nothing. The daily build suspended fine first time, the second time caps look and numlock started blinking but the screen remained black. After a restart it did not suspend at all.. it switched to text mode, displayed some stack trace from the wireless drivers then resumed normal operation... without any network support. I suppose that is to be expected from a daily build. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1264879 Title: Xorg freeze / System Freeze after suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1264879/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
