I installed the recent Linux Mint and the recent Xubuntu 13.10, I'm running 3.11.0-15-generic on a netbook and this problem still exists!
I have no experience with compiling a new Kernel or anything like that. I can temporarily fix the problem with the commands sudo modprobe -r psmouse sudo modprobe psmouse or sudo modprobe -r psmouse sudo modprobe psmouse proto=imps both fixes the touchpad for a while (even though the scroll function on the side of the touchpad never works) but then it happens again. The mouse still moves but no clicks are recognized. If I remove the module and use an external mouse, the mouse is reliable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1096046 Title: Touchpad not working after last apt-get upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1096046/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
