I take it therefore, from the log file, that switching to the scanimage frontend allowed you to quit gscan2pdf. This confirms that the problem is the Sane thread not shutting down properly.
Do you turn off your scanner before quitting gscan2pdf? Also, please confirm that you are able to quit when using the test backend and the libsane-perl frontend: gscan2pdf --log=log --device=test -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1268592 Title: gscan2pdf no longer launches in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS after ppa upgrade earlier today To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gscan2pdf/+bug/1268592/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
