I don't consider bug 1270553 to be a regression in this update. There
are a number of users who have broken MySQL installations due to a
previous local problem that has gone unrepaired, and an updated package
shows them up because an attempt by the postinst to restart the daemon
consequently fails. I think bug 1270553 is such an example. I have
subscribed to it in case this changes.
