The bug 1173571 is about using which font as default for zh-tw, but all of the fonts discussed there have more or less complete coverage for zh- tw. Here I'm talking about font *not* complete for zh-hk but pretend to be so. And yes, I do wish WenQuanYi be removed as title.
> Should it be removed from both sans-serif and monospace? Yes > Did you intentionally not mention zh-tw? That's correct, the font support for zh-tw and zh-hk are quite different. WenQuanYi has more or less complete support for zh-tw. > Are we at all using zh-mo in Ubuntu, btw? Not absolutely sure, though my suspicion is no. Same goes for zh-sg. > What about simplified Chinese? WenQuanYi is intended for simplified Chinese support since day one. Keeping the status quo would be better for mainland Chinese users. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1270647 Title: Remove WenQuanYi as preferred font for 69-language-selector- zh-{hk,mo}.conf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/language-selector/+bug/1270647/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
