An upgrade to trusty is not required for this (although most Ubuntu developers ought to do this by now..). You can also use umockdev from the upstream build recipe: https://code.launchpad.net/~pitti/+archive /daily-builds It has 0.5.1 packages for saucy. They have been broken for a while though, fixing them now.
