Just tested and the problem still occurs. I ran the command you gave, but I don't know if files are uploaded. The python script showed errors in the terminal.
Incidentally, I found steps which have reproduced the problem 10 out of 10 times: - open dash - search for 'term' - start the 'Terminal' - enter the following command: 'dmesg | less' - scroll the text using the cursor keys - within a few lines scrolled, the screen goes black Could it have something to do with the Terminal being partial transparent and there is a regression in that part of the driver. NB The live version I tested: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Alpha i386 (20140123) casper-uuid-generic: 48ace7dd-f966-41f6-95c0-f0ccca67ce91 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247624 Title: Laptop screen is turned off, needs shutdown to work again To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1247624/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
