I think the problem is with the minimum height of the lower part of the screen (info widget, connection statistics etc.), which seems to change - if I enlarge the height of the upper part of the window (the torrent list) and shrink it again, the minimum height of the info widget has become larger than before. My ktorrent window currently persists in having a minimum height of 3431 pixels, and I only have a 1280x1024 pixels resolution :(. If I unload all plugins or just deselect the widgets in the lower part of the screen, I can adapt the screen size normally again.
