Thank you for your bug report. Is the issue the delay or the lack of feedback during that time?
The settings just send the signal to the service to reboot/install the update, if there is a slowness in the action is comes from the system/service, we could probably be better at giving feedback during that time though... (the design has https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates?action=AttachFile&do=get&target =phone-update-installing-system.mockup.png to be displayed, but I'm unsure that UI makes sense since the update is not installed from the running Ubuntu session) ** Changed in: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: ubuntu-system-settings (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1270268 Title: Install updates has a delay on Mako To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings/+bug/1270268/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
