I'm setting this to invalid as
1) the bug is ancient :-)
2) I can't set to wont fix because I'm not listed as maintainer, and
3) the version of libgeos-c1/-dev/-3.1.0 that is currently available in lucid
will successfully compile the latest version of the no-longer supported by
up-stream (from what I can gather) libspatialite-amalgamation (version 3.0.1)
available from http://www.gaia-gis.it/gaia-sins/libspatialite-sources/ once the
freexl package has been compiled and installed, which is available from
http://www.gaia-gis.it/gaia-sins/freexl-sources/
