The general reason that gnome-shell will disable all extensions, is when
a buggy extension crashes gnome-shell. This is done as a fail-safe, to
ensure you are able to restart gnome-shell.

Please can those affected try the following:
- disable all extensions
- enable only one of the official extensions from gnome-shell-extensions package
- try to reproduce the issue, if it happens attach
~/.cache/upstart/gnome-session.log to this bug
- if the above works, re-enable all your extensions, reproduce issue then
attach above log
